For the position, the teacher instructs 2 groups per grade level (6-8). Each group of students meets 4 times a week for 1 term. The computer lab has 26 computers. Average class size is 20-23 students. Currently the class teaches all standards and focuses on math and or science content as well. - Assistant Teachers, MPS Afterschool Program
The Medford Public Schools Afterschool Program is looking for assistant teachers at the Brooks, Columbus and McGlynn Afterschool Programs. Interested candidates should have prior experience working with children Grades Kindergarten through Grade 5. This is a part-time position without benefits. Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 2:30 to 5:00-6:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 1:30 to 5:00-6:00 P.M. Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter to: sgross@medford.k12.ma.us.

Qualifications:
- Appropriate Special Education License for position
- General Education License (preferred)
- Reading Instruction experience (preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Plan Instruction and schedule direct service groups
- Maintain accurate records and pupil folders
- Maintain data collection systems; routinely review and update.
- Maintain communication with classroom teachers, principals and parents
- Administer diagnostic tests
- Complete progress reports
- Utilize and apply in-service training
