  • School Year 2017-18: The Medford Public Schools Afterschool Program has four site locations: Brooks School, Columbus School, McGlynn School and Roberts School. We need group leaders and assistant group leaders. Positions available in expanding afterschool programs. Schedule Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri 2:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Wed 1:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. Group Leader receives an additional one-half hour for prep. Experience with children K-5 is preferred.   • Special Education Teacher: Middle School Inclusion Support Program– Teach and case manage students requiring specialized supports within the general education classroom and small group setting. The program goal is to provide students with the skill instruction they need to be successful within a full or partial inclusion program. Applicant must hold a Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities PK-8 or Moderate Disabilities 5-12 license, an additional general education content license is preferred.   • Cooperative Education Coordinator– Medford Tech is looking for a cooperative education coordinator who can continue to grow the program, seek new partnerships, oversee career counseling, and recruit new students to a school that offers 20 Chapter 74 programs. Primary responsibilities include the following: Career planning with students in grade 9-12 Program Advisory Committee planning and implementation working with the CTE Director Recruitment for Medford Tech students from Medford and Everett Public Schools working with CTE Director Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal Able to conduct site visits to new job sites and maintain relationships with employers and program staff. Requirements; Chapter 74 licensed vocational teacher with 5 years teaching experience in a vocational program Chapter 74 Cooperative Education license by MA DESE OSHA certified, preferred or able to become certified Technical experience in DESE reporting, online recruitment software, student information systems, google docs, Microsoft office. This position is in the teacher contract, however, may require site visits during the summer. Summer work will be paid upon approval of the Director at the negotiated rate. Substitute Teachers

Medford Public Schools utilizes the AESOP online substitute placement and absent management service.
