Any citizen in the audience may be given permission to speak once at School Committee meetings regarding any item on the agenda for up to three minutes on any one item.
A Community Participation portion of the agenda be established which will give any citizen the privilege of placing any item before the School Committee or be heard on any item. Any item to be presented must be submitted in writing to the Superintendent of Schools by the Wednesday noon prior to the scheduled meeting, with a maximum of five (5) minutes allowed for any one presentation.

Attending Meetings
All regular meetings are held in the Howard Alden Memorial Chambers, located on the second floor of Medford City Hall, at 7:00pm. The School Committee generally meets on two Mondays each month. See the full schedule below. Committee of the Whole and other special meetings are occasionally held in other locations. Please be sure to check the Medford Public Schools website under “Latest News” for announcements of those meetings and their locations.
Watching Meetings on Television
Regular meetings are broadcast live on Channel 16 starting at 7:00pm. Meetings are replayed on Channel 15 on Wednesday, 7pm and Saturday and Sunday, 11am during the same week of the meeting. Please note that School Committee meetings are replayed on Channel 15, not Channel 16.
Monday, July 26 Update: The June School Committee Budget Hearing and Budget Meetings will be replayed on Channel 15 this week everyday. Part 1, the Budget Meeting from June 21, will air at 8:00am and 6:00pm daily. Parts 2 and 3, the continuation of the Budget Meeting on Tuesday, June 22 and the Budget Hearing on Wednesday, June 23, will air at 1:00pm and 11:00pm.
Please Note: Meetings are subject to change. Please check this page and the district homepage frequently for updates. Committee of the Whole Meetings and other special meetings are usually announced on the homepage under “Latest News.” When Committee of the Whole and other special meetings are videotaped they will be replayed on Channel 15 and their broadcast schedule will be posted on the homepage.
