National Junior Honor Society
Meets once a month by announcement
The National Junior Honor Society consists of a group of students who have maintained superior grades during their middle school experience. However, scholarship is only one of the criteria. Members must also display leadership, citizenship, and character.
The last requirement is service. Eighth grade students are expected to contribute 10 hours of service to the school. We help out in the office, in the library, in kindergarten classrooms, in the life skills classroom, and we serve as tutors for sixth grade math students.
Every year we also run a bake sale during the winter open house and donate the proceeds to the Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care in Boston.
