Medford High School Parent Packet 2011-2012

Parent/Teacher Conference Nights 2011-2012

The administration of Medford High School has announced the dates of the upcoming Parent-Teacher Conference Nights.

The first is set for TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2011, when parents will have the opportunity to confer with teachers of ELL, Science, Math, PE/Health, and Fine Arts. (The snow date for this program will be Monday, November 28.)

The second is slated for WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2011, when parents can confer with teachers of English, Social Studies, Foreign Language, and all other disciplines. (The snow date will be Thursday, December 1.)

On both evenings, teachers will be available to consult with parents from 7:00 to 9:00. The twin Parent-Teacher Conference Nights are scheduled to coincide with the release of the first-quarter report cards, which students will receive during Homeroom Period on Friday, November 18. (Report cards will not be mailed home. However, parents will be able to access their children’s first-quarter grades on iParent starting on the 18th.)

In advance of each of the Parent-Teacher Conference Nights, school officials will arrange for students to provide their parents with lists of their teachers’ names and room numbers. School officials will also upload the lists onto the school’s web page and have back-up copies of those lists available on both evenings.

Parents are asked to car-pool to the Parent-Teacher Conference Nights, to limit conferences to five minutes, and to schedule appointments with teachers if more time is necessary. Parents who need to spend more than five minutes should email teachers for information and make appointments with teachers to meet at mutually convenient times.

To get current information about postponements due to inclement weather, parents can check the school’s web page.
