General Information
Teachers may schedule classes in the library by reserving in advance with the library teacher. Students are welcome to visit the library after obtaining a pass from their classroom teacher or lecture hall teacher. Passes are not required before or after school.
Eating, drinking, and gum chewing are not permitted in the library. Students may not bring backpacks into the library but may leave them on benches in the library entrance.
Circulating Materials
To check out library materials, students present their MHS/MVTHS student ID cards at the circulation desk.
All students and faculty may check materials out for up to three weeks, depending on how long the material is needed. When a material is needed for a longer period of time, students and faculty may renew the material by returning it to the library and requesting a renewal. If a material is not returned, the patron is responsible to pay the replacement cost of the material.
The staff at MHS Library strives to maintain current selections of print materials and up-to-date personal choice reading and curriculum support materials. Teacher input is highly valued during this process; teachers are asked to present their recommendations for new library materials to their department directors.
