Welcome to the Medford Vocational Technical High School (MVTHS). The City of Medford through its School Committee has offered vocational education, now referred to as Career and Technical Education, to its young people since 1930. Throughout this time many changes in program offerings have been made and all programs have been enhanced to meet the expectations of industry in the 21st century. For over 75 years, our school has been connecting students to rewarding careers. We can offer you the same opportunity. Our classrooms and technical labs are staffed with qualified professionals, current equipment, complimented with relevant and rigorous academic and technical curriculums.

Our Exploratory offerings, for grade 9 students, prepare you to make choices that will impact your future career selection while preparing you for the challenges of high school. Our Exploratory program exposes all freshmen to the careers we offer. As a sophomore, junior and then senior, you will be making connections to prepare you for life after graduation in an industrial, college or military setting.

As members of the MVTHS family, all of our administrators, faculty and support staffs are committed to a common goal of creating an environment that is stimulating, pleasant and safe for all learners. Parents and families are also a large part of our success. When you join MVTHS, your entire family is encouraged to participate in school-related opportunities and asked to participate on our School Council and our program advisory councils.

Students attending Medford Vocational Technical High School receive two benefits – academic preparation for college and the development of competencies and entry-level technical skills for 11 major industries.
