Foreign Language Club

Starting Date: September 22, 2015

Meeting Days: Alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays, every other week (roughly two to three times a month).

Brief Summary:
The Andrews Middle School Foreign Language Club will focus on Spanish and Italian language and culture. Students will learn about cities, holidays and festivals in Italy, Spain, and South America. Find out the coolest places to go in Europe!
We will celebrate different regional holidays like El Día de los Muertos and of course who can forget Carnival! We’ll decorate masks, have costume design competitions, and watch real parades and celebrations. Students learn about typical Spanish/Italian music, games, and more. And the best part of any Foreign Language Club is learning about typical regional food while enjoying delicious Mediterranean and South American fare! To practice your language skills, we will play Spanish and Italian scrabble, Apples to Apples, and learn traditional Spanish and Italian games as well! A possible foreign language week and end of year trip will be planned as well. Come see what we have in store, join, and have fun!
