Dear Grade 11/12 Parent/Guardian:
On January 8, 2002, President Bush signed into law the “No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.” Part of this law requires private and public schools to provide access to names, addresses and telephone listings of juniors and seniors to recruiters for the armed forces and institutions of higher learning.
Recruiters want to send information to students and to call students in order to interest them in various military service options and other educational opportunities.
However, you may request that we withhold information at any time. If you want us to withhold the information, please fill out, detach, and return the bottom of this letter to Ms. Andree Pierre-Paul in the Guidance Department. After September 30, 2016, we will begin providing access to the data that military recruiters request.
John Perella, Ed.D.
